Recomendation for someone who is NOT a full-time or professional fighter. I have a day job and im into martial arts primarily for self-defense. I can only train for 3-4 days a week, and for 2 hours a day(that includes break for around 10 min). Also, i can train 2 days straight at the most; i dont think i can do it three straight days. Do you think it%26#039;s normal?|||That is very reasonable, just like any heavy physical activity.
3 times a week, 2 hours at a time, every other day is just fine.
In fact that is probably the best idea, it gives you time for your body to recover. I think that is a realistic, and great program.
In fact it will take some effort to find a place that trains more than that, pretty much most places are going to be on that sort of schedule.|||Wel ...Here are Million dollar tips from a real student and a real Master
1.) 3 months of training also can make u a dynamite.
2) In Martial arts ...u have to be totally be able to sink the Blood of Kung Fu into your veins ....the spirit of the Art should enter ur every nerve....then for life time ....u can be self-confident enough to face even .....100 men at a time...............it all depends on u -it depends on how much u absorb the spirit
3) You should be a Truth lover , Not a voilence lover - you should be ethcis lover and not a scammer/ criminal ....only then the spirit of the Art will enter u
4)you should sweat like hell -what ever u r master says u should do -if he says -jump from the building -u should be in a position to do even that -if he says jump through fire -u should be able to obey his words
5) No Master - No Art
6) You should become a spiritually tuned person -it will enable receptivity of power
7) By seeing Bruce Lee - u should feel that what ever he does - u would be able to do -and infact u should do like him- spirit of Masters should enter u and u should become like a
Enter the Dragon - Return of the Dragon
Read books of Bruce Lee
Do sparing -practise ...
Be pure - Be Truthful -Be spiritual -it is real power|||Yea it is specially is you are not used to train MAs
its ok if you dont want to get into serious competition
but just remember quality training gets you in better shape faster that tons of time training so if you plan your training and and really work hard you will get preatty good results in no time.|||for a normal person 2 lessons a week at a dojo/ dojang/ school/ gym and another 2 days at home evenly space if possible sounds reasonable|||That%26#039;s very normal, your body needs rest. I%26#039;m the same way, 3-4 days a week and a couple hours per night. If you%26#039;re sore after class take glutamine to help minimize the pain. Remember to stretch after class too and drink plenty of water.|||3-4 day a week is pretty good. I%26#039;m luckey if I can make 3 training sessions a week.
I suppose the best asnswer is %26#039;as many as you can make!%26#039;
Training 3 days in a row is tough on the bod - depending on the MA your training with.|||I don%26#039;t believe anyone can learn any sport or martial art less than twice a week. Our school won%26#039;t accept students that can not do a minimum two classes a week. You must remember to practice at home as much as you can even if it is only 10 to 20 min. intervals.
Sounds like you will have the time.
Good luck.
