Which discipline of martial arts do you recommend?

I want to get into law enforcement. What is a good style of martial arts that will give me an edge, preferably focusing on submission.|||Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Hapkido, stuff like that. You%26#039;ll learn wrist locks, pressure points, submission moves, stuff you%26#039;ll need to arrest perps!|||Jujitsu. Its focus is on deffense, and its offense-type is gentle but focuses in incapacitating your opponent in a humane manner.|||You might want to look into Aikido. It focuses on pressure points.|||mixed martial arts classes are gaining in popularity. it includes floor work. i would also recommend one of the isreali or russian based systems such as krav maga or F.I.G.H.T.|||I recommend Kempo besides it%26#039;s the mother of all style of martial arts ,it also have good counter tehniques in case if you are getting attacked on duty|||Tae Kwon Do if you wanna Kick some AZZ|||For law enforcement you should consider any type of MMA Mixed Martial Arts school, typically Kempo/Kenpo schools which will provide a blend of traditional martial arts like Tae Kwon Do as well as modern martial arts like Brazilian Jujitsu. Whatever school you pick, make sure they have some elements of Jujitsu in their curriculum, especially Brazilian, because, real world, 90% of fights end up on the ground so you must learn your submission moves and chokeouts. Also, going into law enforcement, your school of choice should incorporate nerve strikes, pressure points. I wouldn%26#039;t have believed much in pressure points and nerve meridians myself, but I have knocked people out and have been knocked out myself, so look for a school that teaches these techniques, usually in the context of TCM traditional chinese medicine, such as Torite Jutsu. Finally, the school you pick should cover elements of weapons defense so you know how to handle someone coming at you with a knife for instance.|||As a police man in Australia i have practised many of the martial arts and have never been beaten up on the job mostly thanks to Ju-Jitsu witch will come in handy when someone is resisting arrest. It will also help you in disarming a suspect of a weapon with out getting injured. It is not going to leave any bruises or lasting injury witch we are always trying to prevent it will help you do your job better and give your confidence a real boost. Just avoid the choke holds as you will get in allot of trouble but you already know that good luck.
